As the Gulf Region experiences a surge in boat ownership, Pacsoft’s General Manager Sean Cocks has visited marinas in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman to give face-to-face support to help clients get the most out of Pacsoft’s marina management software.

During his visit Sean provided teams at marinas across the Gulf with in-depth training to ensure they were well-versed in using the full suite of PacsoftNG’s comprehensive features and gathered feedback to allow future fine-tuning of the software solution.

Sean said customers were appreciative of the in-person visits, which also played a vital role in ensuring he and Pacsoft fully understood the challenges and opportunities marinas faced, especially with boat ownership hitting an all-time high in the Gulf Region.

“Marinas in the Gulf are increasingly looking to streamline their operations and so we’re naturally rising to meet the demand. Our goal is to ensure PacsoftNG not only meets but exceeds their ever-evolving needs.

“Being on-site allows us to know what’s important to our clients and build the relationships vital to any successful business partnership.”

During his visit to the Gulf, Sean delivered onboarding and refresher training to staff at Dubai Harbour Marina, Hidd Al Saadiyat Marina and Aldar Marinas in the UAE, as well as Al Mouj Marina in Oman. He also met the marina-management team at Dubai Marina Yacht Club to get their perspective on how PacsoftNG could be honed to meet their requirements better and help drive success.

“We aim to make marina management as smooth as possible. Our software is designed to help marinas streamline their operations, from berth bookings and customer communications to management of accounts and reporting.”

Sean said every marina was different so there was always something new to see. He enjoyed the opportunity to make new connections and see old faces on his tour of the Gulf Region.  “For me it’s crucial to visit our clients so we can tailor our solutions to better serve them. It’s all about understanding the intricacies of each business to deliver the best results for our clients and help them thrive.”

The UAE houses over 50 shipyards and is fast building a reputation as a global hub for yacht manufacturing and boat maintenance, catering for the most luxurious of vessels to humbler naval and commercial ships.

Following his visit to the Arab Gulf states, Sean dropped anchor at award-winning Keppel Bay Marina in Singapore to deliver some training and enjoy some face time with its team, before cruising on to Queensland to connect with Australian Pacsoft clients Mooloolaba Marina, Bayview Harbour Marina, Gladstone Ports Marina and The Boat Works.

Along the way Sean also found time to staff Pacsoft’s booth in Brisbane at the Marinas24 Conference and Trade Exhibition at the Royal International Convention Centre, meeting existing and potential clients and talking about his favourite subject – marinas.
