Improvements to payment processing workflows and security enhancements are among the headline new features available in PacsoftNG version 8.3.
Released this week, the latest version also lays the foundation for a modernised version of the Dockwalk app, which is used by marina staff when physically walking the docks to check on vessels and berth statuses – watch this space in the months to come.
Improved payment-processing workflows
When payments are declined or marked as ‘pending’ by banks while they await processing, it can cause problems for marina managers who aren’t always aware of what is holding things up.
Fortunately, our latest release incorporates a small but valuable enhancement that alerts you to the reason behind why transactions have not been processed – either declined or blocked – so you can approach the issue with certainty when you communicate with your customers.
Security improvements to keep your staff and users safe
Version 8.3 makes our Customer Portal, Online Booking Module and Drystack Booking Module more secure as part of our ongoing dedication to keeping our clients and their customers’ data as safe as possible.
Visual Marina improvements
We have ironed out some minor glitches in PacsoftNG’s Visual Marina display to ensure the experience of using our ‘Alongside’ sites is as smooth as possible.
These sites are those that allow a vessel to be tied up parallel to a fixed structure, like a dock, pier or wharf, and are often used for larger vessels, superyachts, or commercial ships that require easy access to the shore for loading, unloading, or maintenance.
