PacsoftNG’s latest version release is all about the need for speed, with some important changes made under the hood to improve performance and reduce loading time for users around the world.
Version 8.04 includes behind-the-scenes enhancements to the Business Agreements and Service Yard screens, among other areas, to ensure the information marina and boatyard managers seek is available promptly.
“Efficiency is critical in the marina and boatyard business so we’ve taken a good look at some resource-intensive areas of the system and placed a real emphasis on speeding things up in the version 8.04 update,” says Pacsoft General Manager Sean Cocks.
While all users will benefit from the changes, the most significant speed improvements will be experienced by larger marinas and boatyards managing a large number of berths or offering a wide array of services.
Other improvements
In addition to the loading speed improvements, the latest version release also includes minor enhancements to the Dry Stack Booking module, as well as more customisation options for other key areas of our PacsoftNG marina management platform.
That includes the Customer Portal module, which has been upgraded to give PacsoftNG users the ability to limit which Online Payment types are available for customer selection when making payments online (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
A small change has also been made to the Online Booking App to let PacsoftNG admin users manually set the amount of time an online berth or service booking is held for, before being released again, while a customer goes through the online booking process.
