PacsoftNG versions 8.7, 8.8 and 8.9 have been released, bringing more detailed feedback on payment issues, better berth booking, and improved Xero performance and compliance, plus further fine-tuning of functionality.
Better insights into payment issues with MarinaPay
MarinaPay is newly equipped to provide clearer feedback when one of your customers’ payments is declined or rejected due to card issues.
Rather than leaving staff to interpret a generic error message, our all-in-one payment system now provides specific notifications to explain why a transaction couldn’t be processed – whether insufficient funds or a card being flagged as fraudulent.
It’s a small change that makes a big difference when handling potentially awkward payment-processing issues at the front desk.
Smarter berth booking
The latest version of PacsoftNG now cleverly alerts you if the overall length of all boats will exceed the available length of an alongside berth when booking another boat into it.
This keeps your berth allocation running smoothly and reduces the risk of inadvertently overpromising and underdelivering to your customers.
Smoother Xero integration
If you use Xero for your accounting, you’ll be pleased to know that PacsoftNG now stays within Xero’s limits when posting journals in terms of both frequency of posting and volume of requests – avoiding any unexpected issues.
The latest version release also includes optimisations to improve the speed of the Xero General Ledge process. This will be particularly noticeable in databases that contain a large transaction history.
Clearer customer invoices
If your marina or boatyard offers volume discounts on any products, then this small change to how invoices are presented will be of interest. Products with progressive quantity breaks now show each applied rate as a separate line on transaction documents, making it easier for customers to understand the discounts they have received.
Customer details viewing standardised
The customer drop-down on Business Agreement and Service Agreement screens now displays customer details in line with your Data Display parameters – presenting the information in the same way your team is used to seeing it to avoid confusion.
The latest version releases also include improvements to our Application Programming Interface (API) to make PacsoftNG better than ever at teaming up with third-party platforms, as well as various bug fixes based on feedback from our user community.
